very nice looks like you had a good time. Awesome that you could do it from the shore

BLKBRKLR,

We saw a ton of carp while fishing last weekend.  Right up against the bank.  That's why I want to try it.  I'm not sure what I would do with the fish though.

Toona,

Thanks for the advice.  Headed to Cabela's tonight.  I'll check into it while I'm there.

so how deep can you shoot with a rig like that.

its awesome that you got the kids out there.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

i can't speak for him, but with the setup i've used(a 50# browning compound), once they get 2 feet or more under the surface it starts getting really hard to hit them, even those heavy fiberglass arrows lose velocity very quickly.

we shot them from my boat -- 1 guy runs the trolling motor to sneak up on them, the other shoots.  noon seems to be the best time, no shadows to spook them.  we would try to nail the ones that were sunning with their backs out of the water.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
