Nice, I spent 22 years guiding for a resort on the westside of POW near Craig, brings back memories.

Were you guys specifically targeting Lings, or did you pick them up drifting for Halibut?
we just randomly catch one or two a day while jigging for halibut with big 12 oz skirted jigs with chunks of bait on them. We also catch them on our lighter 5 oz seabass jigs too. Pretty much randomly.

We had 5 guys on the boat. Some were Alaska residents. They can keep one ling a day any size. They have really clamped down on non-residents. Two years ago the slot limit Wa 30-45 inches. Last year it went to 30-40 inches. This year they shrunk it down to 30-35 inches. Makes it hard to get a legal ling now for non-residents. Plus you can only keep one a year as non-resident.

Nice haul!  We are leaving for Valdez on Tuesday - trophy halibut and salmon.  Was hoping to visit our buddy in Ketchikan too this year but just can't get the time away.  Alaska is amazing!
