a couple more unfortunate events like that and i could see hound hunting coming around strong again.

We've had a couple kids attacked here on the eastside....it doesn't matter to the greenies.....our eastside legislators had to fight tooth and nail just to get in the current limited cougar hunting....I doubt WA will ever see cougar hunting as it used to be.

that is what i meant Bearpaw. when they close coyote hunting with dog's. because the game department said it was unethical.  i'm worried about what's coming.you will see change's next year in bear hunting. that's why they left it open for change's in 2010. now that wolve's are here there will be less hunting. that's why there buying all the landup in tonaskit methow area. wonder why scary. just miss the old day's. Rick :)

just miss the old day's.

Wow...you hit a very soft spot, that Nov day in the 90's seriously altered my life. It's all memories now....politics will never allow hounds to return....I am so glad I hound hunted a lot when I could. My son was just old enough that i took him whenever I could, we are both glad about that now, at least he got to see what it was like.

BTW - This coyote hunting ban really upset me.....Many hunters didn't even hear in advance, that's just criminal.  :dunno:

I was just thinking about all the things I did as a kid growing up. Snaring and trapping after school at night, coyote hunting on my way to school in the morning, squirrel shooting or trout fishing at lunch time, and the evening grouse, bear, or deer hunt on the way home. I had an old 66 ford with a 3 gun rack....the .300 WM or 220 swift, a .22 rifle, and the trusty fishing pole went to school everyday in plain sight. There were no shootings at our school or any other schools that I know of. All the kids that had weapons had training from home and from H Ed. That was just everyday life for everyone around town, many rigs had a full rack of guns year around.  :twocents:
