Filled tag #1 of 2024 with this little boar yesterday at 10:23am. 256 yard double-lung shot from my Browning X-Bolt Stalker Long Range 30-06 put him down. This is my 8th Black Bear harvested in my hunting career. Dropped off meat at butcher for Jalapeno and Pepperjack sticks. Time to get a 2nd tag and look for a GIANT. Good luck to everyone as always!

👍saving fawns, and calves.

Took almost 40 minutes of watching this bear before I was able to get a shot.

Nice job congrats

That is a chunky bear D rock, it's been eating pretty well. Hopefully you got some nice fat off of it! The one I helped clean on the opener barely had a pound of fat.

Congrats to those successful so far!  Nice bear D-rock and good seeing you last weekend.  What time a day you take this one?

Got eyes on one yesterday evening but couldn't do much about it.  Getting out in the AM so hopefully, have something significant to add to the thread...

Nice! Cool color
When I inevitably choke to death on gummy bears, I’d simply like it said that I was “killed by bears”, and leave it at that
