New Pursuits
« on: August 13, 2024, 10:39:37 AM »
Since there are no more deer left and I have given up on the search for intelligent life on earth, I am expanding my photography towards space.

I’m currently building an observatory in the Wenas.   The build is pictured lower right.   I was trying to photograph the Perseus meteor shower, but smoke and clouds hampered that effort.  The shower was lackluster, but Lady A came for a visit.  I snapped a quickly before getting back to chasing meteors.

Pretty cool! Slept on top of a houseboat in lake Shasta last week, made for some good meteor watching. Very little light pollution

Space fascinates me.  What's out there :dunno:

How exciting! As always, I know your photos won't disappoint...regardless of the subject matter. Looking forward to following along!

Awesome pics Bone! So there are 2 comets visible.in the next few weeks if I recall and one is going to be brighter than Venus. I am excited to see what you can come up with. Do you have a clear view of the horizon to the West? If not you need to find one I think for this comet.
