Two days ago....

Kill it

Season is closed....quota met in oct I believe.   :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

I was gonna concentrate on cats this year and have taken time off work to do so.....now I just have time off work.  I will likely hunt them closer to home where the quota's are still open (last I checked).

Breeding season for lions is when it is . They do not have a breeding season. Females come in heat at all times of the year depending on kitten dispersal, death ect .

lions , bobcats aren’t like domestic cats they don’t go into heat whenever young die or get killed or what have you it’s not down to let’s say a couple week period but lions are “usually” December to January and bobcats are usually mid February into March

I agree with the bobcats mostly mid January to March but lions come in when they come in like I said above . Ive worked around hundreds of lions and the GPS  data is telling . Have seen kittens born all times of the year . Even just look at trail cam pics on this site over the years, pick a month and look at all the pics . Pics from spring are not all little kittens , they are every age from baby kittens to kittens bigger than their mom. Have seen multiple times female loses kittens then 120 days later there is a collared male with her for few days ect . They breed when they need to.

Cougar tag is mountain money now.... 😂
Quota and cougar season is lmao now.
Already did my cougar  hunt report last month.
I only went cougar hunting one day ,out of our very short season.
The bee was so bad in September,I figured I'd go after deer season.
Ya right.
I should of put more effort into it in September.

My grandma was a hunter when she was young.  They would do bear hunts and deer back in the 1960s in the western appalachians in pennsylvsnia. She told me a story where they were up on a ridge watching a narrow pass leading into some higher land.  She saw a big cat come up though and head up into the pass.  Nobody believed her.  She didn't even know cougar existed.  Then many years later she saw one on TV and said that was very similar to what she saw.  The one she saw looked shaggier and had darker fur.  But she said it moved just like whatever it was she saw.    I know there weren't supposed to be any big cats there at that time but she seemed very certain when she would tell the story.

That cougar is on Machias's carnivore diet only to gain weight  :chuckle:
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
