New elk pics with one lazy little bull...(new pics 7-22)
« on: June 17, 2009, 09:39:49 PM »
This little spike decided to take a break in front of my camera.  I'm guessing the bigger bull will be a fair 5 x 5 when he's done.  This is the 1st calf I've got this year on the camera but I've been seeing a few around the area for a few weeks.

So looking at the rack growth between the two bulls, is the first bull going to be a spike?

This late in the year he should be bigger than that if he's going to branch, I would say spike.

Looks like you have a nice little spot there, that bull could turn out to be pretty nice come fall.

so why do you need to hike in 12 miles to hunt elk when they're in your back yard :chuckle:
