Okanogan rock hounding?
« on: June 05, 2024, 03:34:20 PM »
Anyone do this in Okanogan county?
I have a P&S agreement on a parcel and just curious what type of rocks are readily available in the area?
The parcel is around Wauconda.
Thanks!

Hey thanks for that video link!
At one point he pointed his go pro in the direction of our 21 acre parcel. One day we were looking for some good firewood in the NF and found a giant spoil pile of this white quartzite! We pulled out some great colored yard rock and plan to go back in and gather more rocks for our fire ring at the property.

It is amazing what he ended up with after cutting and polishing those rocks. It is sometimes very difficult to look at what something could become, when it is a simple white dusty rock.

Thanks for sharing!
