desert unit 290 help
« on: October 03, 2024, 07:03:47 PM »
Hey guys. My brother got lucky, and drawn for a Desert tag. I know there are a lot of knowledgable guys on the forum. Any tips on where to hunt would be greatly appreciated. Just looking to help him out with some tips from the guys on here.

It's not a big unit, you'll be fine just go over by the water and start hunting. You'll figure it out soon enough. Good luck.

You are less than 2 hours away if you do live in union gap. You could spend 1 day over there and know all you need to know to get started for his hunt.

Agreed.  Scouting is invaluable and will tell you what you need to know in a few trips. Lots of good gouge on here if you search past posts and read up. No secrets as there are deer in the unit but few toads and fewer after Karl's recent success.
