What is your shoulder mount criteria?

I do not kill a lot of animals, but for me the decision on a shoulder mount is a gametime decision.  Cool hunt, unique animal, great experience, etc. will have me considering going the shoulder mount route though.

I do not have any birds yet, but plan on doing the first duck my new lab pup retrieves for me this year.  Probably his first pheasant rooster too.
