Looking for a blacktail mentor!
« on: April 07, 2024, 08:32:19 PM »
Hi all,

I am reaching out to hopefully get in contact with someone who would be interested in mentoring a new blacktail hunter. I am 21 and have had some experience with whitetails on the east coast, but as a native Washingtonian I have a consuming fascination with blacktails. I have covered some ground and set out a few trail cameras with varied success, which has led me to write this post.  I am physically fit, easy-going, comfortable in the backcountry, and energetic about learning how to hunt blacktails.  It might be a long shot, but if anyone's willing to let me shadow them on a hunt and put up with my barrage of questions, I'd be immensely grateful.
Thank you to all who read this post and I hope to chat more with you!

Best, Levi

You going to post up a picture of your first blacktail buck?
