Colville Rez Hunting
« on: October 30, 2024, 03:43:09 PM »
Hello, I'm going to be hunting the Colville Tribe reservation lands the weekend before Thanksgiving. I'll be hunting chukar and quail, probably only for 1-2 days. Does anyone familiar with hunting these reservation lands know how much the license fees are? Secondly, can licenses be purchased at outlets in Omak or Okanagon? Thank you.

To my knowledge there is no non tribal member hunting allowed on the reservation of any type.

You can buy license in Nespelem. I think Big Wally’s in Coulee city sells tribal license.
Lotsa Chukar this year.

$50. Cct has a office in Omak that you can purchase your license at.

Geese. Live and learn.  I wasn't aware of that hunting on the res.. Looked online and pretty extensive info. Kinda looked like you can buy permits online.

I buy my tribal fishing and hunting online. Pay close attention to the reservation hunting regs and the maps for where you can and can't hunt chukar n quail. The area between Omak lake and the road above is closed. Because of the fire a few years back, most of the Chukar that are left are in the draws above the Columbia river. Also, read carefully the info about the use pass/permit. Good luck

We bought our rez permits at the Trianlge gas station in Brewster when we hunted it years back. Just gotta make sure you know where you are and what you're hunting. It was before the fire but man there was a lot of quail and huns where we were not to far from Hwy 97.
