No rutting activity, but the last three days I've suddenly got all kinds of bucks showing up on my cameras.  They seem to be coming out of the woodwork all of the sudden.

That’s great to hear! Went out again tonight. Saw couple small bucks alone and around 20 doe with no bucks around them. Still doesn’t feel like it’s kicked in here.

None of the bucks in my area seem to be rutting (Just South of Sandpoint).

I think it was still a couple weeks out from now last year.

Saw 3 bucks last night, one with 5 doe out in a clearcut and the other nose down trotting along the edge of a field. Both smaller 4pta. 3rd buck was still by himself in timber.

With that said saw around 30 other deer and no activity with them.

It certainly seems like the last couple days of late modern the younger bucks are starting to get stupid. November 17 and 18 of 2021 and 2022 I killed two 3.5 ish yr olds with no neck swelling and they weren’t stinking at all. Last year I shot a same age class buck in Unit 1 on the 17th running with a forky, same story. They were however moving during the day. Seems like a lot of mature bucks get killed in late archery up there!

 :yeah:

Definitely depends, but would tend to agree with that based on my experience in the area.
