Lost Rifle - Elbe Hills
« on: November 03, 2024, 08:03:03 AM »
I am an idiot. I leaned my rifle against my truck tire after getting out of the woods yesterday and then drove off. I went back later and the rifle wasn’t there. It was on the 9 road in the Elbe hills.

Black Savage .270 with a Vortex Diamondback scope. I am devastated as this was my first rifle that means a lot to me. There are several other identifying features I can provide through PM.

Hoping for the slim chance someone on here picked it up yesterday. Thank you

I got my rifle back!

I put a sign up where I left my rifle, and got a voicemail saying they found my rifle and I got it back. The hunting community is the best!

Really happy to see this worked out for you. I did this once with my over/under at a trap range so I know how you felt.

So glad this has a happy ending, I know I could never keep a rifle that someone obviously left behind, as i'm sure most people on this site feel the same way.

Awesome new!
Especially considering how many tweakers prowl the area!
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
