Charlie’s Taxidermy
« on: November 20, 2024, 08:57:40 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knows if he is still doing Taxidermy. He has done a blacktail and a mule deer for me in the past. The phone number I had for him doesn’t seem to work anymore. I really liked his deer mounts and I have one I would like him to do.

No he’s not taking new work. Too bad too because his work was the best.

Do you mean he isn’t taking more this year or forever? He has done several deer for me in the past. I might just drive down there. I really think his deer mounts are some of the best.

He’s not doing any work except finishing up what he’s already taken in. I talked to him several months ago about finishing my moose, he told me he’d get it done…but I’ve not heard anything from him since. :twocents:

I haven't heard from him in 10 years
Gave him down payment and my bobcat.
Kinda sucks, killed it with my dad on his last hunt.
I agree he was the best.

He's got a buck of mine that I took to him in 2014! :chuckle: I left a deposit and the cape. Too bad about his phone being broken. I've not heard from him in a few years. Think I'm getting towards the top of his list yet?

Charlie is a good guy, he likely got over booked, over worked and overwhelmed!

We all have been in the place where we just can’t make tails from heads…I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he got into that corner.

There is zero doubt that he did quality work!

Everyone needs a break to regroup once in a while. Let’s hope he gets things sorted out and gets back into it…his quality work benefits all of us if he does! :twocents:

I get it. I've been there. Honestly, I'm not that worried about it. If I were, I'd have been knocking on his door, or had someone else mount it years ago. He really should return calls and at least offer refunds and hides back. Well, I doubt any hides that old are good anymore. Obviously, I didn't leave him the horns, and they look fine on the garage wall.
