I forgot that was today and the gas station in St. Maries was a zoo. There was trucks parked 1/4 mile away from it in every direction.

Left home at 4:30 yesterday morning.  Drove 6 1/2 hours.  Slept outside all night in line.  Was 26th in line.  Didn’t get a Salmon B elk tag. Don’t think I’ll make this effort again.

12 in line salmon b tags gone in less than 30 minutes along with 28 general. Never seen the tags sell so fast. The dal at the store said there were 28 deer tags and purchased tags. Got to the car and they were whitetail tags

Buddy in line at 6:00 a.m. 76 buyers in front of him. Almost all elk zones sold out by 10:40 when his number was called. Bought Panhandle. Don't even know if that was worth it. One of our group lives in the zone, but he's a noob. Maybe his proximity will get us some extra scouting.

Swore I'd only buy a DAV Deer Tag or skip ID. $411 later got a full price tag coming in the mail. I can't resist a sale!!

Well that's reassuring, I was hoping it wasn't just mine

Was inline at 5 yesterday, allegedly 53 inline but people thinking they could sign a list and leave came to a head in the morning. Even with few people knocked off list and 4 registers going did not get salmon tag or deer tag I wanted ended up with something I may just return.
