There was 0 wind where I set up to shoot.  However the coulee where the buck bedded was a different story.  Those Montana winds are weird.

I understand now though.

We had a couple days that it was sustained winds 50-60
I feel confident to shoot an animal to 600, but I had to work in and shoot a 10 pt wt AT 180

I understand now though.

It's a whole new ball game over there for sure.  Fun, but different.

Congrats. We had the same wind factor this year was well. Sons shot at 608 was WIDE left! Sealed the deal at 120 after about a 1 mile chase. Montana hunting is something we look forward to every year!
