Ammo potential laws for us.
« on: December 17, 2024, 04:01:27 PM »
Too bad many people like my former hunting partner lack the vision not helping each other out in the hunting world because then this might happen.  Waterfowl hunters rely heavily for online sales for our ammo needs.

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Uhhhhh, what? Who?

Death by a thousand cuts. Washington has been trying to go after ammo for years, but this time it might happen. It is unfortunate, but the way the State is being run is one of the reasons a dear friend and her family recently moved to Texas. It will only get worse here since the last election with little regard for the more rural voters.

Cool thanks, in the waterfowl world these potential laws could only add to more very bad inconveniences and challenges.

Meh. I'll continue to hunt. Bought a Ston with cash through the years. If the non tox runs out, I'll shoot the lead. When that runs out I'll use the rimfire. Yep, I hoarded and won't appologize. Since common sense and truth doesn't back this agenda, I see no reason to forfit my rights. I plan to dispose of a bunch of that evil ammo over the next two weeks.

This is probably a good thing since all the ducks and geese are going extinct everywhere except in the spot where hdshots old hunting partner hunts. It’s a bummer but at least I will have a bunch of ammo stored away in case they ever come back.

As goes California......

CA eliminated mail order ammo and instituted background check requirements at FFL

Then this year a new excise tax on guns and ammo.

There's some workarounds (kinda) on the mail order thing.  Not so on the tax.

About all we can do is continue to procrastinate with joking around!  Also have also said goose are good in number wise.  So do your homework next time so you don’t fool yourself again.  He also even admitted duck numbers were down and then realized his mistake of admitting facts and stormed off never to be heard from again.  It was a sad show to watch.

Does this apply to components? The MEC and RockChucker may need to get fed.

My former hunting partner lost his temper when talking about these types of challenges I mentioned a few years ago about waterfowl hunting.  Hope pickups and SUV’s don’t get caught in the crossfire fire someday and the gas prices they predict for the future.  We know how important our pickups are for hunters and remember when the general public areas for waterfowl even looked like an rv lot when the hunting was hot.

So, If I fill my motorhome fuel tank with hoarded ammo, I can kill California mallards? Got it

Maybe not for long with even the camping industry under political attack.  People not here today are going to think we are mentally ill telling them the stories of today.

I remember when my jaw dropped when finding out people didn’t need background checks to buy guns at one time. Now it could be ammunition, motor homes, and much more that could be surprising for what is for granted.  Private sales for firearms in our state even changed dramatically not long ago.  I believe even a 10 business day wait period for long guns?  Just keeps sneaking up on us with more red tape and a lot more hoops to go through.
