Moose Hunting on Mount Spokane
« on: June 22, 2009, 09:12:06 AM »
My 13 year old son was drawn for Mount Spokane Youth Hunt.  We are looking for any information on hunting in this area.
Thanks
Kurt

I would look into the Inland Empire land up there.  There is a charge.  Here is a link for some info:

Man, there are moose ALL OVER that place. Do you live over there or over west? I have hunted on the WA/ID line a lot in that area and have seen some good bulls... out of Twin Lakes and Spirit Lake, ID... how far north does unit go?  There is some country just south of Blanchard Pass that is also full of good moose!!

Good Luck, Keep us posted!

Lotsa moose.  Even if you just roadhunt you'll see moose.

You can also get a ATV up on the Newman Lake side off of Thompson Road.

From what I was told by the IEP attendant on mica, they have closed all access on the thompson creek side, I heard this last year too, that really sucks for the tag holders, great access and lots of moose in there.

Looks like it is time for a recon - I could have sworn tht I rode my ATV on the Thompson road stuff last year !  Will try to get out that way and report back.
