Is this where the pot meets the kettle them?
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!

Threads like this always puzzle me. :dunno:

:yeah:
Just what the hunting community needs.  Not sure who is pot and who is kettle but I am sure this is a terrible time to cannibalize.  Repercussions will be felt by the community as a whole and much of it will be our own doing.
Some of these threads just need nuked, not that other platforms won't facilitate the damage but multiple threads here do not help.

I'd say the Facebook post is pretty extreme...if you want respect you give it .. IDK..
But maybe the author can explain....

It’s not go to Dustin Whitefoot FB page. God forbid if we bring up shooting big bull on the game reserve in your head lights and bragging about it.

It looks like the elk is doing what elk do in the winter?  Just like many big bucks do?  Question is.. Why does WDFW allow this tag to used during a obvious vulnerable time for these migrating animals.  IDK...did this bull live there or is it his normal wintering spot.  I guess the dude paid for it.  Ethics mean so many different things to different people.  I personally like the stories my harvests carry with them.  Some of my smallest animals have the best stories and memories.  Imagine having this bull hanging on your wall and feeling convicted the story might not match the size of the bull, not that it has to?  I personally would probably hide it my shed and not talk about it?

I've seen far worse from some of the entitled groups that live and "hunt" in WA state that don't have to follow state laws. As a matter of fact, it's not even close.

If he didn't break any laws, it is what it is....I'm just not sure you could actually call it "hunting".

Oh good. Another thread built around hidden messages and inuendo.

If you can't see the irony, that's on you.
Crazy that folks cannot comment and post something they see as comical without getting blasted. I could have crapped on the other thread but did not. I could have been more direct, but you and I have discussed why I didn't. Sometimes just can't help myself.

Carry on with the flames...... I'm out. Nuke it if ya want. IDC

As long as both these parties (for different reasons) do what they do, and how they do it, there will ALWAYS be division. Hunting should not be about money......but it is, and lots of folks praise that. Sure, it's an incredible bull, but I see zero reason to congratulate anyone who pays large sums to kill animals of quality in bulk.

You want to improve the non-hunting public's view of hunting????  Stopping both of these types of killings would be a GIGANTIC step in that direction.
We both know that will most likely never happen so division will only get worse. I will never praise either one of these type "hunts"

Aaron is the pot!😂. He drove through private ground last year in the Cowiche basin only to drive into the Cowiche feed station property in March and shoot a bull he could knock the horns off of and take some of the meat and leave through trespassed land exercising his ancestral rights🤦🏻. So his words mean absolutely nothing.  Just shows jealously

So, to satisfy non-hunters, we should give up certain hunts to improve other hunts. Goofy concept. First light in hour and half. Blocks are out. Keep me entertained

We will never change the stance of an anti., Try and look thru the eyes of a person who is on the fence about hunting, that is who hunters should be most concerned about.

Which scenario looks better to them;

a. A rich guy spending thousands to kill the biggest antlered critter just to add to the huge wall full of similar ones, and their name in a book.

b. An average Joe who takes his kids out and they kill their first buck of any size and that child gets to be so proud when it is served for dinner knowing they provided that meal for the family.

c. A Native who kills in excess because they can, just to sell the horns and or jerky.
(PS, I have zero issue with native rights when exercised within reason)

I'll think of an example.   Clover Springs Feeding station.  It was a really cool place that brought a lot of Joy to a lot of people including a ton of kids, even my own.   It was shut down because they couldn't stop the wanton slaughter out of the middle of it from the Tribe.   Alot of tribal guys have  more respect than that, but many do not.  WIth no self regulation among them, the only way to stop it was to shut it down.
