A couple of years ago we went over to Hunters to do some turkey hunting with the boys, well we got there late in the evening and we were setting up the tent
(Alaknak) when I realized my friend forgot the poles!  :yike:well we used some rope
to hold up the peak and some sticks to hold up the sides and made due until the next day and we went and bought some 2x2's to use!Jerry

I've forgot a knife a couple of times on day trips for deer, I was unsuccessful on those trips,
I was going elk hunting up at clear-water one morning, about the lake Quinault area I discovered I had forgot to bring any ammo. Well it was a bout a hour before first light so if I went home for ammo I was going to get up there well after first light. I stopped at the Amanda Park Mercantile and seen someone inside moving around s I beat on the door until someone came to the door. I bought a box of 150gr win PowerPoint's for my 7mag. I killed a raghorn bull that day.

I had a guy shoot a bear while I was at moose camp.  This stranger drove up and wanted to borrow my hunting knife.   Though I like to be heloful, thats like borrowing a guys wife.   I had an extra...knife that is, not wife.

In a hurry for an evening coastal elk hunt, my partner shows up at the house and we start piling my bike and gear in, leaving my bow on the lawn for last.  In the mix of saying goodbye to my wife and kids, I just jumped in and we drove off.  45 minutes later I realized I didn't have my bow. U-turn.  45 minutes later we pull up to my house where my wife is standing out front with my bow and a "figures..." look on her face.  We still made it out that evening but man I felt like a complete moron :bash:

Ruined more than one fishing trip leaving my license in the wrong pair of boots at home.

Forgot my stove and water filter on an "Andy needs to get away from the world and go camping" trip, 5 miles in and 5 miles out... and I didn't get away from the world at all.

Forgot my wallet once on a date, didn't get a second one.

My brother hunted all day with an empty 30-30. ( we found all his shells on the floor of the truck....)  When he met us at the rig near dusk....my dad said..."so...what would you have done if you saw a buck?"  "Shoot him" my brother replied..... "With what?"  His eyes got really big, and he opened the action.....empty.... :chuckle:

ohh... did that pheasant hunting with a buddy.
First place we stopped at he filled the shotgun and handed me a bunch of shells.
Second place we stopped at he handed me a shotgun and a bunch of shells.... I didn't realize he didn't load it. Luckily (or unluckily) we didn't see any more shootable birds that day.

Not really sure how i did this but, My buddy and i pulled up so a nice spot that over looks a canyon, so we figured instead of taking out guns and gear (before the season..scout trip) that we should just take a hike down and see what we can stubble accross. So we go down the canyon and come back a couple hours later to the truck and realized i left my drivers side door WIDE open...Not sure if anyone drove by and noticed but we had two guns and  backpacks sitting on the back seat...luckily no one took them

My dad took my older brother out to go along with my dad on a day hunt in the late season with his bow, came up on there spot much before daylight, a couple inches of snow and tracks EVERYWHERE.. perfect conditions... got out of the truck to start hiking, and left his bow at home.

I forgot my brand new binoculars early archery a couple years ago, luckly, someone we where hunting with had an extra pair.

Forgot my ammo in camp this year, adn I had 5 rounds in my gun, we where two or three miles from camp, missed a buck four times, and only had one shell left, so I had to run back to camp to get my box of ammo, so I could go try to find the deer.
