Coach ,we had some close calls had a big 6x6 23yrds. stopped behind a tree giving me no shot. Passed on a 5x5. Called in allot of hunters in 340

sounds like you had some good action , did you stay up high most of the time?

Coach we hunted low the first four day's got into bulls every day. all the bulls came in silent and fast. The herd bulls would grunt/chuckle and push cows but that's what they do. Allot of action the first four days then the weekend crowed showed up and the elk shut up. ran into hunters every where. We then went high in 340 same thing people every where. Hiked into manashtach Lk. / Lost Lk. had a bull going before we hit the lake his cows busted us. when we got to the lake there was three tents set up by the lake. Went to 342 seen two nice bucks one 4x4 and a big 3x3.

sounds like a good hunt though , lets not lose focas of why we hunt right . It's cool to see game of all types. plus you get to hunt the late season right? the hunters everywhere dose drive me crazy, I quit doing to much scouting since it aleays gets screwed up come the season. the bulls we saw most just came in as the rut started . I had one bull that wasn't preasured buggling till 1pm in 80 degree heat Crazy.
