I have 5 points and just want a darn Western Elk General so I can hunt with my dad that lives there. Anyone have a bunch of points that is just going for a Western General that wants to go in partners so I can draw before he's disabled or dead and gone? At this rate it will take that long...

I've got 6.  Think 5.5 will get it done?

5 points should get you a tag in the regular or special draw this year with no problem. If you want it to be a 100% with no doubt, put in for the special and you will get a tag for sure. Last year it was 100% success in the regular and special with 5 points.

I am not sure if 5.5 is good enough, but I would hate to screw up your chances if it took 6 to draw.

Special draw is out as I am doing a house remodel starting in 2 weeks so the hunting funds are limited to the regular draw this year. I am hoping I can get it with 5 points so we'll see.

11 points here, no one to go with. Thinking 2-3 years away to go for it. 1 Shot for a 340 bull. Anyone with advice or want to team up?

I’m in for the western zone general but will need to hit the random.

Have an outfitter for unit 7 lined up if I draw. I’ll be 74 soon so I want to improve my odds of a nice bull.

2023 was likely my last, unless I go to spot for my son.
