We returned Sunday from 10 days in SW Wyoming. Our group filled our 3 cow tags and also 4 antelope buck tags.
We witnessed some amazing rut action! Saw around 30-35 bulls in 4 days.
My wife took her cow out of a herd of 35 elk with 10 being bulls.
335 yards shot with her .270 Win. Using 150 grain Nosler Partitions.
All 4 of us vowed to go back and do this hunt again as soon as possible. It was a blast!

Awesome, sounds like a good time!  I've thought about combining elk w/ antelope there but have been a little reluctant... how'd the timing work out for you?  Prioritize elk first?  How'd you play the seasons?

Great questions. And yes you should do it!
We arrived Friday afternoon and hunted antelope till Tuesday. My wife shot a 13” buck on Saturday. I shot a 14” buck on Sunday. My two buddies shot 14.5” bucks on Monday.
The cow hunt started on Tuesday. So we scouted for elk as we hunted antelope, it gave us a good head start on what the elk were doing before we started hunting. A great plan since we only had 4 days to hunt elk. But it worked out and we got it done!

I still have a general West tag and trying to figure out a couple days to get back down there and see what I can do.  Open for suggestions.
