E Bikes 2025
« on: January 26, 2025, 08:36:09 AM »
I'd love to hear some feedback on different ebikes guys are running here.  What kind of battery life are you getting, what models are you using.

I'm considering getting one and would love to hear pros and cons about them.

I’d stay away from Rambo, had one, they don’t come ready to ride and need fixing after leaving the factory.   Check out Bolton and Rad, rad out of seattle has a really good reputation and Bolton out of California was pretty impressive when I was doing my research.

I have a Bakcou Mule - spendy up front but it works well for me. The only thing I've replaced/improved is the seat with something more comfortable for my old butt.

I’ve owed a few:
  Juiced = Bring your mechanical skills
  Rad = Meh
  Lectric = Good for money
  Zero = flawless

Battery life is totally dependent on battery size and how you ride.

$300 for everyone that doesn't qualify for the $1200.

$1200 is for households below 80% of their counties median income

They have to be bought at brick and mortar stores locally

My only personal experience is with Rambo and if someone were to give me a new one free, I would have a serious dilemma on if I wanted to go through the hassles again...  :bash:
Garbage.

This calculator by Bosch is very useful to get an idea of range with the different battery/motor/terrain options: https://www.bosch-ebike.com/us/service/range-calculator.

Whatever bike you go with I would recommend looking into Old Man Mountain racks. I've started using one on my gravel bike, a little pricey with the thru-axle mounting route I went but rock solid and very easy to set up. They advertise a 70 pound capacity with their Divide rack (what I have). Their other company will also sell you an axle that you can connect a trailer to and pull even more (Robert Axle Project).
