Dog Training Public Access
« on: January 27, 2025, 11:43:21 AM »
Just wrapped up my pups first hunting season, and have a decent list of things to work on with him in the off-season.  A lot I will be able to accomplish at my home in a typical neighborhood, but I am also going to be needing a place where I can do some gun work and water work.  Not super easy to accomplish in a 1/4 acre lot backyard.

Are there any public land areas within a reasonable distance of the Tri-Cities where I can do some gun work and water work?

Find some USACE land along the Snake or Columbia. Maybe even some BLM?

A little after that mennonite market/restaurant on 395 pull off on sagemoor and head north off the next road. There's some bureau of rec land off there with some canals and water and what not.

If you keep going north there's scootney with much more space.
