Anyone had any experience bringing there deer heads or antlers to the show to get measured and what that entails?

Walk into the show with your antlers, head to to the heads and horns both and say you would like to enter. I think its like a $10-$15 fee. Drop off your animal, check out the rest of the show, come back and get your scored critter.

:yeah:

With the exception that if you have a high scoring animal and want to enter it into the competition I believe you cant pick them up until Sunday as they will be on display.

I tried a few years ago, they wanted me to leave them there for the rest of the show. I wasn't interested in doing so and left without being scored. It didn't seem like it would be overly secure after hours

I did it with my elk horns a few years ago. I didn't have any problem leaving them there. I doubt someone would break in to steal my horns when there was a lot of gear that was smaller and worth alot more.

They gave me a pass to get back in on Sunday to pick up my horns. Ended up winning a Leupold spotting scope so seemed worth it.

If anyone goes can someone ask when a new edition of the WA recordbook will be coming out?  I see there is a 7th edition of the Oregon book that is coming out soon.

No doubt! I have a shed I paid to enter in 2020 or 19 that still hasn’t made it into the “new book”

Hopefully someone on Sunday will take some pics of the winning walls and post them here, I'll be out of town but always enjoy seeing what shows up, normally some really good critters.

Not to dirty up this thread, but I’m assuming you had your buck from this year scored? Curious what it scored? It was a beauty!

Cover your eyes, Karl.
I don't want you to know that my buck outscores yours.....   I mean you tried, and thatt's what's important.      :tung:

@The scout

Thanks!
My buck scored 159 5/8.........    Which means I'm gonna tell people 160.

Besides just being curious, I honestly don't care about scores.
But did I mention he scores 160?
