Gun broker?
« on: February 07, 2025, 07:13:13 PM »
I'm trying to track down a specific revolver, I can find them on gun broker but that's about it. Does anybody buy from/through them? Is it as simple as setting up an account, purchasing, and sending to a local ffl or is there more to it?  Thanks guys......

It's pretty easy. I've bought two firearms from gunbroker.com. Be prepared to be out bid.

I’ve only purchased on rifle on gun broker. The answer to your question is yes. Set up account buy the pistol. They give you a list of ffl in your area. You pick the one you want shipped too

To answer your questions, yes it pretty much that simple but make sure to check the sellers feedback....  you are not buying from GB and they have no responsibility for a bad transaction.

Yes, very easy.  Couple things to think of before bidding:

1.  Payment options....some only accept certified check or money order.  Some charge 3% for credit card.  Just make sure they take payment you are willing to use.  Some sellers are now using the gun broker paying gateway.
2.  Make sure it is a verifies seller and they have plenty of sales. Also make sure they have good reviews.
3.  Look at their shipping amount.  Most are very reasonable and a few are ridiculous.
4.  You can always ask questions before buying.  If a buyer doesn't respond to my questions, they lose my business.

If you are smart and take standard precautions, it is very safe and very easy.

Super easy. Like another mentioned, look at seller reviews and buy from a reputable seller. Also take a good look at the item description to make sure it is exactly what you want.

Is it a current production model and has your local FFL checked distributor stock?

Another thing to note is your choice of FFL.  Some won't accept from private party/non FFL dealer.

You can get a list of already established FFL's who are Gunbroker savvy without a purchase vi the website.

When searching, you can "go advanced" and view "completed sales" to see how realistic the price is.

GunBroker has a 15 minute rule to counter bid snipers.  If someone birds within the last 15 minutes, the clock starts again at 15 minutes.

I've bought maybe a dozen firearms and a number of non firearms via Gunbroker.
