2/14 Commission meeting
« on: February 14, 2025, 08:39:54 AM »
Anyone going to watch ..
I'm really curious about some of land acquisitions...

Especially the Masons launch in CQ....since I spend most of my summer up there..
Not excited about the State owning that..

Tuned in to listen to comments.
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

Better the state than an entity that closes access or charges an outrageous fee.

I won't speak for Brandon but it's my impression he doesn't want to sell...kind of being pressured.
It's been running fine as privately owned for decades.....ever since old man Olson.
Biggest problem with State ownership is unrestricted tribal access.
If you've ever been up there in the summer...I can't imagine tribal commerical use blending well with hundreds of rec guys....
