I need to have a stainless steel bolt handle welded to the bolt. two questions:
1. how much should I be expected to pay for this
2. know anyone in the Seattle area that is competent to do this

Find a gunsmith that does Mauser sporterizing.  They all have to have new bolt handles.  As for cost?  Not sure.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I know someone in the Olympia area that can do it
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Killbilly: do you have an address or phone for the Olympia gunsmith? I could combine a visit to Cabela's and the gunsmith.

Ed Lapour of Bremerton does fine fine work.
