just a vanguard...stainless-synthetic

Nice.  You should pull it out and shoot it.  I'm sure you'll be pleased.

i just need to suck it up and buy ammo for it. i thought maybe the prices might come down some time in the future and i could save $10-20 but who knows. i plan to hunt with my encore this year anyway, so we'll see. the encore is a lot lighter weight and it does shoot well.
the vanguard is brand new...only 3 factory rounds for the target through it. they were right at an inch.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

No kidding, that ammo is spendy.  I ordered a 300 WBY a while back and have picked up a couple of box's of ammo for it.  I've spent almost $300 for ammo, brass and bullets and I don't even have the gun yet.

Mosin Nagant, 7.62X54R. As issued, iron sights.
