If you got a cat allergy do you think you would have a problem eating mountain lion or bobcat?

No, I would not think so.  People are allergic to the dander from their grooming no the actual animal.  In my case I cannot walk into some people houses with cats, and others are fine literally sitting on my lap.

The only way I could see a reaction from eatting is if there was some type or protein allergy, which would be highly rare.

I was very allergic to cats when I was younger. And I’ve eaten bobcat and no issues. I think it’s the hair and stuff that your body is all allergic to not the meat.

I appreciate it. I was thinking along the same lines.

If you do try eating some, only have a very little bit on your first try and see what happens.

I recommend playing it safe. Start by eating a kitten. If you can keep that down, i think you’d be safe eating any cat you wanted to.

I've skinned and eaten bobcat. It's the spit and or dander we are allergic to. The meat is awesome. Do not touch your face and be prepared to contain the contamination so your not a puffy eyed snotty nosed hunter!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

90% of cat allergies are due to the antigens of mice and rodents.   Cats clean themselves and the antigens are deposited on their fur from their saliva.    You wont have that in the meat.
