Hey guys I was just looking into to hunting unit 615, I was wondering if has hunted that unit before and if so did you have to apply for any logging trail permits? I saw on OnX that it was mostly star land but I didn’t know if somebody knew anything different I really appreciate it, it’ll be my first time going elk hunting  so I’m just trying to cover as much ground as possible any info helps.
NO I  DON’T  WANT ANYBODY’S HONEY HOLE!!!

There is a lot of state land there. I've scouted it for elk but ended up hunting closer to home. But in scouting, I didn't come close to exploring all the state land. I'd put some boots on the ground before shelling out money for a permit. But I'm also pretty against the idea of paying for timber company land out of principle, so my opinion is biased.
