Some great pics. Great job to the kids and their "guides."

My oldest got it done this evening, two toms about two hours apart. First game animal(s) for him other than fish, he’s hooked.

We might be able to swing by your place on the way home tonight. I’m sure he’d love to brag it all up and show you the beards and spurs.

This is a Hail Mary, but thought I would throw it anyways. I've been hunting around Hunters for the past two days with my 12 year old son looking for his first gobbler. We've found plenty of Toms but they have all been on private land and we can't get them to leave their hens. We've put in quite a few miles on the public to no avail. I've killed plenty of deer and elk, but am a relative turkey novice myself. Tomorrow we head back to the west side.

If there is anybody who has a gobbler or two they would let a youngster go after tomorrow morning, that would be much appreciated. No worries if not. Congrats to all the youngsters who nailed one.

I can’t help ya with land access but I can give ya a piece of advice. If your son shoots a bird and it’s flopping on the ground don’t wait for it to die! Go finish it off. My 9 year old daughter and I found that out today. She absolutely peppered this big ole Tom and he flipped and flopped for a whole minute then got up and ran off then flew off🤦🏻‍♂️

I don’t have a private land spot, but I can send you some pins for spots not far from there that produce.
