So how do the "Bonus" points factor in?

Bonus points are for the special permits and preference points are for your general combo licenses.

Understood...Thanks!

We’re in with 1pt this yr for deer elk combo, we drew last yr - might just be a B tag hunt this yr
Why would you buy a preference point and go in with one point??  That's 0% draw odds?
while applying with 1 isn't the right strategy, getting points is. As the 0pt pool odds continue to decrease and the points pool continues to get flushed out after MT eliminated point banking, it's wise to look at 100% odds every other year vs sub 50% every year. Draw tag. Buy points falling fall. Apply next spring and purchase point. Draw the tag. Rinse and repeat.

You can certainly get lucky in the 0 pool and score multiple years but you could also be like my dad and go 0 for 3. Id much rather have the predictability of every other year :twocents:

:( :'( :bash:

I missed the deadline............   Not happy with myself.
So did we . Although after what we saw ( or lack there of ) of any decent deer . We are happy to sit out a year or two .

Kind of scared to see what the success rate w 2 pts is this year...seems like there's lots of guys w 2 pts.  Could be that it comes down to 50-60% which would be no bueno.

Good luck to all, I’d say this Friday or Monday will be when we find out.

For those who chose etags and have the app, you'll see it there before results are posted so keep an eye on it. Doubtful it's this week but next week for sure. Last year was April 15 @9:58a.m.
