I was out in the backyard shooting my bow this evening and noticed something moving near the chicken coop.

Was surprised I actually whacked him.

I think it was posted by Trophyhunt This AM. I can not find it now. Perfect arrow shot. Looks like it will definitely go B&C. Just wondering how far it traveled after the shot and if you got a gross score on it. What was the range, and your bow set up. Nice coat on it by the way.

Sorry Mboyle0828 for giving someone else credit for your kill. I have a buddy in AK that says if you can hit a pie plate at 35 yards you can kill a moose. Your shot brings in a whole new concept of accuracy!

I hate to be that guy, but you shot him a bit far back.

Maybe a bit more practice is in order.

You know if we go back a few years in the forum we have quite a bit of information on making thongs. It may be something to consider since the shot placement was a scouse back just saying.

Now that you both mention it, the shot placement was a little low/back. I’ll work on that.

You know if we go back a few years in the forum we have quite a bit of information on making thongs. It may be something to consider since the shot placement was a scouse back just saying.   

From what I understood, Mole skin was used for thongs because of innate softness. Fur on Rat skins, may not have the same quality of softness or hypoallergenicness as Mole skin. This could lead to excessive itching and rashes in the nether regions. Though it is generally understood that Rat Rawhide (fully tanned) makes for excellent quality binding and wraps.

Funny enough, I missed a decent tom two weeks ago. Had him in the decoys at 19 yards. Clean miss. I attributed the miss to low light and adrenaline lol
