Crazy how many bears mess with my cams there vs here on the Oregon coast. Cool part is that cell cam was on clearance last year for $18 so if it's a goner, at least it was a cheap loss.
The rest of my cams will be getting hung with the aide of a climbing stick when I go back in June. Hopefully my other two cams in there survive in that area.

After you hang em high, then it's the cubs that will mess with them.
Less damage with the cubs though.

lol... mines 462 miles away so hoping a pic pops soon or it'll be late June before it gets checked.

Bears "supposedly" can smell batteries and are attracted to them. If that's true, they like Duracells more than Energizers. 😳. About 95% of my cameras that bears get have the Duracells.

Someones pulling your leg I believe. I can positively say they do smell plastic/rubber and will ruin things when they feel like it. We had 4 wheeler seats and fenders chewed and mauled in Alaska. Rigid hull inflatables would get punctured if ya didn't rig them to stay on the water. In OR/WA/Id bears have chewed a few cams of mine.

Forgot to mention that I sometimes run 6V or 12V battery in plastic ammo cans on my cams and I've had bears pull them out of the trees mounted 10-12' high.

Curiosity beyond sane, they can not leave stuff alone.  Absolutely no chance of food and they will still have their way with whatever.

Yep Bears like cameras.   Think batteries might be a treat for them.
