This new law that makes it so I can no longer purchase a gun is the last straw for me. It goes into effect in 2027 so that gives me two years to get out of this state. Already retired, so only thing keeping me here now is my daughter still has one year of high school left. Montana here I come.

Four more years until my son turns 18, then we are out.  Until then, I'm climbing the walls until that time comes, and the wife is fully on board and already shopping for property.  Will likely be leaving behind 20+ points when that day comes though. :'(

Will still have friends and family here, so we can always come back for salmon and steelhead fishing...if there's any of that left to do.

Exactly, we will park a travel trailer at the kids west side home for the summer fishing here, get our meat and get the back to freedom!

What new law are you referring too? So many proposals I haven’t been able to keep up with.

I'm planning my way out as well. Considered not purchasing special apps this year...but it's relatively cheap. Can't win if you don't play. And it makes app season a little more exciting.

House Bill 1163. You can read the bill here:

Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

We will pass you on the road! 2 year for us too! Luckily, all the kids and grands are on board too, commune not a bad way to go! Now to just draw that sheep and goat take in the next couple years!

Congrats on the move to Idaho. My parents just bought property and will be leaving this state this fall. As for me, I'm stuck for the foreseeable future. Maybe with everyone leaving, I'll have a chance to draw something  :IBCOOL:

Smart man getting out of this state, unfortunately even with people dropping out and moving away more and more people are putting in.  NV is doing there draw right now and they had over 332K individual applications and 32K party applications this year!!!!!!

Draw odds are definitely in the toilet not only in WA but across the west.

Yep and if you don’t draw in Nevada you don’t get to hunt for the most part. It could always be worse so if you can get better take advantage of it.

The reality is that you could have 50 points for each of the big 3 and the odds are still that you would never draw a tag.... so looking at it that way, you really aren't missing out on anything.

Big 3?? I’d be happy with a deer draw in the unit I always put in for with an average draw of 9 points! 22 points later…. Have to admit, never been lucky with anything 👌
