It is… have a few buddies draw great tags with very little points. Can’t bitch, just luck of the draw.

After over 60 years of applying for elk tags here I have drawn 2 times. I’m am done as the odds only get worse every year in the draw. Less an less tags to apply for and it is all about predators and protecting them. I’m sure most of you don’t even remember the years when most of western Washington was either sex tags for several weeks for deer. Where are those deer now, ate by predators.
I AM DONE AND ONLY BOUGHT A SMALL GAME LICENCE.

No apps for me, and probably wont purchase a license either.  We will see come fall.
I think I'm in a similar situation.  Couldn't find any good info on access to places I've been hunting for decades.  A lot of land on the coast that was permit was sold.  Now can't find out what's open or not.

Unfortunately, the same thing that happened here 40 years ago is happening to the other States. The people that voted in this crap are also tired of it and are moving to other States to start ruining them with their votes.
Once the big 'progressive' cities in any State gets more votes than the rest of the State things start to change. And make no mistake, it is happening.
I remember when "Pacific Northwestern California" became a thing. The flood of 'Cali's' started coming up here in mass in the 80's. There were articles in the papers about it. They liked the "laid back easy going" lifestyle of Seattle at the time and started making changes (voting) almost immediately.
As was stated at the time by a politician, and I repeat often:
"Every vote I need I can see from the top of the Space Needle."

It has been disheartening to see the demise of Washington hunting, fishing and related items.

Heck even the Simpson’s did an episode on how the liberals move into a city, destroy and move on to another city.

I remember the 90’s and all you heard was the Californians moving to Washington and making the state change. Sidewalks were almost unheard of until the Californians showed up.

I did a PDR in Montana and ask how many Washington hunters were applying for deer and elk tags there. Guess what over 19,000 apply there and over 9,000 get draw. Hunters are trying to find a place where they might actually find an animal to hunt or bring some meat back home..sadly a lot of the Washington hunters I see are illegally hunting on private land with no permission. Montana had several set up last year trying to catch these guys trespassing and shooting at night.. they are getting pretty good with their drones and set ups..hopefully they can keep catching them..
