Technically not wrong. My odds of drawing Colockum quality bull goes up from 0.01% chance to 0.02% chance at 6 points!

You probably could but then they would have to increase the cost of our license and tags to fight the lawsuit. Seems to be lose- lose no matter what the outcome.

I guess its going to depend on the WDFW's definition of "preference". My idea of a preference point system is that all or some of the permits go to those with the highest points. Bonus point systems are just a glorified random *censored* show.

The BONUS point gives you extra tickets in the hat but certainly not any PREFERENCE.

It is a flat out lie.  We are a bonus point state.

If you get 5 names in the hat and I get 10, aren't I getting a preference?

This why the state needs to dump the point game. I have points all in the high teens in multiple different categories and I would be 100% willing to drop them all to zero tomorrow for a “true” lottery system. One application = one name in the hat. Too many guys with a lot of points would cry way to hard of that happened and that’s why we’re stuck.

One would think you were getting a preference, but when you are sitting on max points for big horn and upper 20's for moose and goat AND someone with 14 or 16 points draws a tag, it sure doesn't seem like any kind preference.

Someone on  HW once said at best the system is a ponzy scheme.

But what keeps me going is that someone else figured the chance of drawing one of the hunts was .03%. And someone else, my HERO, chimed in with:

"SO YOU ARE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE!"

No.  Preference means you would draw a tag based on point total.

We are a random bonus point state.  Some are hybrid (pref/bonus) and some have nothing (Idaho).

Anyone can draw in our state.  If we were preference then the folks with the most points would be drawing.
