« on: June 05, 2025, 03:10:03 PM »
Have you or anyone you’ve know been drawn for the WDFW Big Game Raffle?  I put a few in, I think I just donated $60 but we’ll see!

We've had quite a few members on here win raffles or help with raffles.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

I think it used to be easier for the average Joe to win. No the big boys just buy to many tix to compete.   Same guys draw em a lot.

Yeah that was my thought, drop big $$$ or just get $60 worth?  I elected for the $60.  I’m sure that there are people that spend big.

Had a buddy buy 8 tickets 5 years or so ago and hit the mule deer. I used to dump between 2-3k a year into the raffles. Never even came close to a winning ticket. Have bought any for a few years now.

It was so much better when you could buy them on line, every payday I'd buy a few.  One year came in as #3 for the western elk, now they don't show you where you land, which sucks, for the money it's nice to see at least where you ended up.  I always root for the small guys and not the whales.

TrophyHunt i could agree with that, i really want to put in big $ but with two young boys and a stay-at-home wife keeping the house together, i cant justify TOO much money on it.

Dohey07, i did that also, i just bought three tickets for my wife and i each.  I wouldnt be surprised if those odds were WAAAY lower so heres to hoping!

On a somewhat related note, Idaho released the entry numbers for their first round of super tags already.  Lot more money put in this year as compared to the last couple years. https://idfg.idaho.gov/superhunt/odds

Good luck, I have often wondered if it would just be better to get a large group of folks to pool in and buy a bundle of tickets and just rotate who is putting in each year. Odds are so poor for OIL if seems like a decent option.
