It's that lucky time of year to pay that excise tax and license plate technology fee. It's good for you

Lots of technology in that license plate.  They wear out often so it's good that a state concerned with the environment forces people to buy new aluminum products and throw away plates that are perfectly fine as it's a hugely energy intensive process to replace something not worn out on mass scale.

It's King County! They need to tax the 'virtual' plates that you would pay for IF they were there! And the 'virtual' plates wear out quickly as they are made out of nothing!  :IBCOOL:
You WILL be taxed, and you WILL be happy!  :bash:

$700???? Why does it cost you that much. I think mines under $100.

What's the deal with all the non-current tabs I see on vehicles everywhere? Then I see trailers and others that don't even have plates. Doesn't seem to be an issue, at least for some  :dunno:

My manager mentioned to me a while back that the WA cops can't pull you over for expired tabs anymore.

My wife just got pulled over last week for being a few weeks past. I do believe there is a bill being considered that would put this in place HB 1512

Good. Now all they need to do is enforce it.
