Cowiche Cow Archery Tag - Group Hunt
« on: June 12, 2025, 05:08:32 AM »
Good morning HW,

A couple buddies and I drew the Cowiche Cow Archery Tag in November and we are looking forward to the hunt! Now it’s been a number of years since we’ve been in there, last time we went was to pull out cameras. We already have trips scheduled on to set cams back up again and do some scouting but wanted to reach out to see if previous tags holders have and recommendations, tips and what to expect during this hunt. This will be our first group hunt and thankfully we live relatively close to the area so we will work on land access as well. If anyone is willing to share I’d appreciate it!

Thanks

I’m not sure I’d even worry about running cams for a late season archery cow hunt. The elk in that unit do the same thing every year when the snow hits. I think your time would be better spent driving around mid November checking to see if anything has moved in and where they’re hanging out at that moment. When the snow flies there will be different elk moving in every day. Should be a fun hunt, good luck!

Yeah based off research that same thought crossed my mind once the crowd dwindles down. We definitely will be out there!
