Little Natchez cow elk
« on: June 18, 2025, 06:43:32 PM »
After all of us seeing a no wins in the any draw categories my son got an email letting him know he got a Little Natchez cow tag for Oct. 29 to Nov.2. We have never been in the unit and we only applied because we drew multiseason tags.
We plan on going over a few times just to look around and see what the area looks like and to get out and have a good time exploring. That whole area over there has always intrigued me if for no other reason than the exploration and new country part. Wondering if any of you would mind sharing any info? Good access points. Areas to look at etc. There are 125 tags in there so I know we'll have some company. That's OK.
Would appreciate any info.
Thank you!

The there’s actually 250 cows tag that are valid for the last half of modern elk in the 346. There will also be thousands of general season hunters to keep you company.

It’s probably one of the most heavily hunted modern firearm elk units in the state but there is lots of ground to spread out on if you get away from the roads.
