Steens Youth Buck tag
« on: June 18, 2025, 09:43:33 PM »
My 12 year old son drew the only non resident steens youth deer tag.  I’ve spent a little time in that unit but don’t really have a good jumping off point or know what to text’s far  as quality.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  The little bugger also drew a cow tag for Idaho, and an any deer youth tag for the washtucna units here in Washington.  I’m not sure how the 6th grade is gunna go for him he is gunna be a busy guy this fall.

Probably learn more out there than in the classroom, his teacher should be able to give him his schoolwork that can be done on the road.

Hopefully you keep us updated on here.

I have that rifle tag this year and have spent a lot of time in the unit. Send me pm and I can give you a bit of information. It is a tough hunt and expectations should be low. But it is incredible country and true giants still exist. Get a cougar tag.
what in the wild wild world of sports???

oh so did I! Only thing worse than homework was having to do homework in the wall tent. I still remember asking teachers for my daughter's school work for her first full week hunt and them telling me its all on their chrome books and that there's no way to get paper versions :o
