Pocket Carry
« on: June 22, 2025, 11:58:16 AM »
I've been thinking about adding it to my concealed carry options. If you do, what are you carrying and why?

What you will carry everyday without exception.

I carry a 380 LCP in pocket holster.

Too big or uncomfortable you will leave it at home. Too hard to conceal you won’t carry it.
I have carried non stop for 40 years.
I have several handguns to choose from. But the one everyday without fail is the LCP.

If on a long road trip, it’s two Bond Hand cannons in double shoulder rig.

If hunting it might be 9mm SVE, Judge, 40 SVE , but the LCP is always there.

Ruger LCR, 357 mag.  Fits in a pocket, ankle holster, IWB, pretty much any way a guy could think of carrying a gun.

Depends on what I’m wearing
Usually one of these
Llama 380 baby 1911
Western Marshall 357 derringer
S&W 38 special J frame revolver

I am usually carring a Ruger LCP 380, a AMT backup 45 acp, or a S&W 442 Pro. I prefer the S&W 442 Pro as I prefer a revolver for ease of use and less potential for issues. If I need something smaller the LCP is hard to beat. I forget it is in my pocket most of the time. The AMT is just a little beast.

More often than not I have S&W 442 in my front pocket. I also occasionally have and lcp in the breast pocket of a jacket or vest.

I'm leaning towards a snub nose revolver for ease of use.

Depends what I'm wearing.  In mild or cooler weather it's a P365 in a Vedder IWB hybrid holster.

In hotter weather (or greater stealth) LCP in pocket holster.

When wearing summer clothes (shorts) I carry a Diamondback 380 with a shoot through wallet holster. It fits in my shorts pocket and you dont have to take it out of the holster/wallet to shoot.

LC9, but get the trigger mod so that first pull isn't so long (about $100). And some True Glo sights.
