GROUSE 2025...the Season is looming!

It's been a pretty consistent season so far. Got this blue Saturday afternoon then moved lower the last couple of days.  Seeing ruffs grouse along the creeks.

Saw five, only able to get two shots, but made them count.

I managed to bag one near Winthrop. The 2021 forest fires made it tough to find suitable habitat, but I was able to stumble upon two grouse within the span of 3 hours.

I’m hoping people can help me identify this one. It looks like a juvenile blue grouse to me.

Got two more ruffs today, one at 4400 feet elevation in snow.🤯

Never seen a ruff that high.🤣
