Lots of coho
« on: July 27, 2025, 05:57:42 PM »
Went out of Westport this morning and drug a lure or two around.  Could have easily been off the water in an hour (4 of us) with limits of silvers but kept at it with catch and release looking for kings.  Found a couple but couldn't keep the silvers off even when we dropped the riggers to 180ft.  Finally came in around 10:00am. If you like fast action fishing you ought to try to get out there (and some good eating)

Just got back from WP, ditto on the action. We also managed to hook into about a 7’+ Thresher shark. It was cool as heck when he broke the surface and went horizontal. It wasn’t the monster king we were hoping for, but what a sight!

Last week we almost T-boned a humpback. That would have ruined our day, and those monster sunfish were thick out there. Probably saw around a dozen of those. It was hot fishing and wildlife viewing.
