What a LOT of fun on Saturday! The new club starting in the north Idaho called the North Idaho Houndsmen Association and they had a 1st ever Water Race and Bear Drag on Saturday. About 100 people showed up with a little over 60 dogs. My new 9 year old bluetick is an Olympic Swimmer.
Smoked the 5 other dogs in his heat, was third in his next heat, by a neck behind 2nd and 1st, but got a bad starting lane. Final heat for the ribbons, was in a great slot and swam a great race, was second most of the race, but nipped at the line for 4th behind 2nd and 3rd. 1st place was well out in front of everyone. Entered my other dog, 8 year old Leopard Cur and he CANNOT swim for nothing! But still made the tree all three heats, which was better than probably half the dogs. Lots of fun!!
