Looking for .309 JDJ Headstamped Brass
« on: August 11, 2025, 10:17:58 AM »
As the title says, I'm looking for some .309 JDJ headstamped brass for my Contender pistol and I'm not finding much. 50 to 100 pieces more or less in, new or very good condition would work (1 or 2 reloads).

If anyone knows of a source or is willing to part with some I'd appreciate a heads up?

Thanks!

Headstamped brass in 309 JDJ has been extremely hard to come by.  I’ve seen adds all over from people looking for it.

Starlinebrass has 444 Marlin.

It has to be annealed first.  358 Winchester die with expander assy out of it.  308 Winchester die with expander assy out.  Trim.  Anneal.  Ream the neck and chamfer and deburred then FL size it with expander assy in the die or use a bushing die and you have it.

I’d have made a hundred for you last week, but finished up and am set up to do other jobs now.

Thanks, JD.  Yes it is very hard to come by.  I appreciate the offer but I already have over a hundred pieces 309 from 444, so I got time.  I'm just looking for some headstamped stuff.
